09.20.07

Today was our first day of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. I was anxious because I didn't know what to expect. This is something totally new - for the house and for us. Kelly Caldwell, the volunteer coordinator at the RMH, was great to work with. She was as excited about this project as Maury and I were!

All in all, I think our day went very well. We were able to get pics for several families. . .even a couple that weren't able to sign up for it before we showed up. I hope we are able to give these familes photos that they will treasure forever. . . and my hope and prayer for each and every child is that they become healthy and will have these pics to look back on and see how far they've come in their health and life.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and look at the photos. . . and remember to keep these kids (and all the kids at AR Children's Hospital) and their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Kelly

This is so super. I am so proud of you and so excited for you! What an awesome ministry! These babies are so sweet. These Moms and Dads will love having really great pictures of their babies at this time in their lives. Like you, my prayer is that the photos will soon be reminders of God's power and amazing love.

Your site is amazing and brings tears to my eyes. On this very day(September 20), 7 years ago, I gave birth to a little boy who was 11 weeks premature and weighed only 2 lbs 14 oz. 6 weeks later, he came home barely under 4 lbs. Today, I am blessed to say he weighs almost 90 lbs and is as tall as an average 5th grader!! All praise to God!!!!

I was fortunate to have a photographer friend who came to take pictures while my son was in the NICU. They are priceless treasures! You are definitely providing an invaluable memory to these families.
